Henry H Kramer Obituary

August 19, 1930 -  March 11, 2024

I decided to write my own obituary because who knows me better than me.  I had a very rewarding and fruitful life being blessed with a wonderful and loving wife (Carol), family (Paul, Scott, Pamela, Ann – Paul's wife, Sam - Pamela’s Husband, Christian - our live wire grandson), and Joe – Scott's spouse).

I was born in 1930 in the Bronx, New York City of German immigrants who brought me to Christ and gave me many opportunities to explore and develop my abilities.  I went to grade school at PS 103 (in the Bronx), high school at Concordia Collegiate Institute (in Bronxville, NY), college (BA) and graduate school (MA) at Columbia College and University (in New York) and graduate school (PhD) at Indiana University (in Bloomington, IN) where I met Carol

Schlamp (future wife) at the University Lutheran Church in Bloomington.   My graduate schooling was interrupted by my “friends and neighbors” who invited me to report for Army duty in 1953, which ended up being a fantastic experience with a remarkable tour of Western Europe.

What do I want to be remembered for?  A loving husband and father; the fun times with my wife and family; traveling worldwide with Carol (my wife and best friend); wine tasting with friends; our bridge groups; dinners with friends; theaters and concerts; Church activities; a productive scientist (numerous publications and patents, and several industrial awards);  a manager (a corporate officer of a radiopharmaceutical company); my contributions in several professional societies (awarded Fellow in the American College of Nuclear Physicians); and an industry leader (founder and Executive  Director of a respected trade organization that represents the radionuclide and radiopharmaceutical industry to the U.S. Congress and federal and state regulatory agencies).  All were very rewarding.

That sums up my life in a nutshell.  It was a great one!  God bless you all. Good Bye.

Henry
