Andrew H. Kauffman 1952-2023

Andrew Hammond Kauffman, III, passed away on February 18, 2023 at age 70 in Martinez, California. He is survived by his wife Lowell, her children Colter and Shiloh, and his siblings Caroline, Sara, and George. Andy was born in St Louis, MO, the son of Andrew and Elizabeth Kauffman. His family moved to California in 1955. He graduated from Awalt High School in Mountain View and attended college at Foothill and College of the Redwoods. He served with the US Army. Andy’s career led him to live in the SF Bay Area, Boston and Chicago. He worked in multiple industries, selling insurance, auto repair supplies, home mortgages, telephone equipment, HVAC, and hearing aids. Andy managed, founded and owned multiple businesses. He was well-respected in the telecom industry, and ran AHK & Associates, a telecom consulting firm, for 20 years. Most recently, Andy owned and operated Loud & Clear Hearing Aids, in Albany and Orinda, CA. He had a passion for genealogy, working tirelessly on family history, and was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. We will miss Andy’s smile, optimism and storytelling.
