Arthur Klein

Arthur “Art” Klein passed away at home on Nov. 9, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Frances Klein, and his sister, Arlene Dackson.    

Art was born on May 19, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, and he and Arlene were raised in Flushing, New York. There, he developed a wide group of neighborhood friends with whom he maintained close contact until the present day. Art earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from New York Institute of Technology. 

Art and Sally Klein married in 1970. They have two sons, Hal B. Klein and Scott Klein. The family lived in New City, New York until 1989, when Art’s career brought them to Danville, CA. 

Art was an entrepreneur with over 30 years of executive management and sales experience, as well as an investor in the development of the technology industry. In 1996, Art co-founded Assured Access Technology, where he was Chairman of the Board, President and CEO. In 2002, Art left the technology industry and formed a real estate investment and development company to build condominiums in San Diego.

In 2006, Art formed a production company, Gimme Five LLC for the purpose of raising capital for the production of independent films. His most notable firm was Bottle Shock, based on a true story about the winemaking industry in the Napa and Sonoma valleys. 

Art was devoted to his family and friends. He had a knack for making friends wherever he went, and maintained those strong friendships throughout the years. Art had a strong work ethic, was empathetic, charming and had a wicked sense of humor. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity.
