Barbara Joan Beaulieu
Barbara died at home on November 24, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her Husband Robert in 1999. She is survived by her 5 children Dianne Beaulieu-Arms (Bruce), Nancy Spellman (Dave), Chris Beaulieu (Peggy), Cynthia Beaulieu, Brian Beaulieu (Teresa) and 8 grandchildren, Noelle Arms, Jay Arms, Victoria Freitas (Zach), Emily Spellman, Christopher M. Beaulieu, Danielle Beaulieu, Cameron Beaulieu, Alexis Beaulieu and great grand-daughter Bailey Ann Beaulieu. Barbara is also survived by her sisters, Patricia L McManus of Lynn, Massachusetts and Ruthie Spafford of Wakefield, Massachusetts.
Barbara was born in Lynn, Massachusetts to Benjamin F. and Ruth M. O’Connor. After graduating from Lynn English High School, she attended Lynn Hospital School of Nursing and became a registered nurse. In 1957 Barbara moved to California where she met Robert Beaulieu. Bob and Barb were married in 1958 and made their home in Concord, CA. Barbara had a long career as a labor and delivery nurse at Mt. Diablo Hospital in Concord. Barbara was a member of the Guild of Quilters of Contra Costa County and was an accomplished quilter. In addition to quilting she was also an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed costuming for community theatre for many years.
A private interment is scheduled for December 11, 2020. A celebration of life and memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Poison Apple Productions at 154 Encinal Place, Pittsburg, CA 94565 or a charity of your choice.
