December 29, 1982 ~ September 4, 2023 (age 40) 40 Years Old

Tribute

Ben Kevin Morgan has passed on from this world to be with the Lord in eternity. He died suddenly of unknown cause in his home in San Diego which he loved so much and which he was rightly proud of.

Ben was always willing to lend a helping hand and he always took an interest in other people. He never wanted the focus on himself. Ben was a doer more than a talker. His loyalty and selflessness blessed others when they needed to get things done fast. That same enduring self-sacrifice was essential to the success of the family business. His co-workers were inspired by his capabilities and work ethic and feared disappointing him. Ben’s innate and rare ability to grasp all the complexities of an entire project allowed him to strategically and efficiently channel efforts from start to end.

Ben had a close bond to the end with his two brothers. They worked, played, invested, struggled, and planned their futures together. They never failed each other.

Ben enjoyed the simple things in life; hiking, biking, surfing, snowboarding, and anything in or near the ocean. Ben’s knowledge of history was impressive, and he also liked to keep up with current events while reading the newspaper on his porch with a cup of coffee. He had a good sense of humor, and an infectious laugh. He had a tough shell and a solitary way but those who knew him well knew he was generous and kind beyond measure and would do anything for those he loved. He was the most thoughtful gift-giver.

While Ben had no children of his own, he was deeply loved by his 2 little nephews, Benkos and Diandre, who remind us so much of Ben and his brother Bert when they were young. Their frequent exclamations of “Uncle Ben! Uncle Ben!” whenever he came around gave him some true joy in what turned out to be the last years of his life. He is also survived by his 2 brothers, Brian and Bert, sister-in-law Maira, and parents John and Roberta.
