Carolyn Sue (Burdine) Gentry, 75

Carolyn Sue (Burdine) Gentry, age 75, passed from this earth at her home in Tracy, CA on April 22, 2021 surrounded by her family.

Carolyn Sue was born March 4, 1946 in Oakland, CA to Lawton and Betty Burdine.  She lived a full and exciting life in her 75 years.  She captivated all that knew her with her dynamic personality and glamorous beauty.  She enjoyed spending time with her family at all the parties, the Reno trips and playing the slots, and the shopping trips that would last until the stores closed.  She was a pillar to her children and was present for the births of 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  Mom and Gamma will always be loved and greatly missed by all.  She will forever be in our hearts and memories.

She is survived by her husband, David, her daughters, Rhona (Patrick) Madden,  Jesica (Rick) Martin, sons, Steven (Mary) Noegel,  Keith Hooks, daughter-in-law, Cindy Salsedo Hooks, and brother-in-law, Bill Gentry.  She has 12 grandchildren, Norman, Amber and Matthew Madden, Kyle and Eric Smith, Robert Alvarez (Noegel), Bryce and Samantha Noegel, Tyler and Shelby Hooks, Joshua and Jacob Martin, 2 great-grandchildren, Isabella and Jaxson.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherri Smith, grand-daughter, Katie Angel Madden, sister, Judy Renee, and her parents.

Visitation will be held at The Fathers House Church, 2140 Olivera Ct., Concord, CA 94520 at 11am on April 30, 2021 with Church services starting at approximately noon.  

Interment will be at Oakmont Memorial Park, 2099 Reliez Valley Rd., Lafayette, CA 94549  at 1pm on April 30, 2021.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
