Christopher Wolter

Christopher Wolter was born to Melvin and Bernice Wolter on November 8, 1949 in Massachusetts. His father was in the Navy therefore the family moved frequently, living in various places including Florida and Japan. Chris's father retired from the Navy when he was 10 years old and the family settled in Lafayette. Chris graduated from Acalanes High School then attended Cal State Hayward where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UOP School of Dentistry in San Francisco. At the age of 24 Chris opened his own dental practice and had a successful career spanning over 44 years. He was a well known and respected dentist in the community and had just recently retired in October, 2018. He was passionate about flying, photography and electronic gadgets. He had a private pilot's license and owned his own plane. He would often combine his 2 passions of flying and photography by setting the plane to autopilot and taking pics out of the window. He captured some beautiful shots that way. He was always sporting the newest and greatest gadget or device, especially anything Apple. Chris loved to travel, go to the theater in San Francisco, ride his Segway, and watch movies. He will be remembered by his patients as a talented and innovative dentist. Chris Wolter is survived by his loving wife, Sandy, his two daughters, Caroline Massey and Cynthia Wolter, three step-children, Eric Berglund, Austin Cornwell, and Lauren Cornwell, three grand-children, Henry, Charles, and Anne Massey, his maltipoo Crystal and his macaw named Vegas. Other animals that made up part of the zoo at Chris's house and also loved him were Tay and Koda, his step-sons dogs.
