Janon Mari Thomas passed away suddenly on April 27, 2022. She was born on December 27, 1999. She was the third child born to Anekka Holloway-Thomas and JeffreyThomas. Her family settled in the Bay Area, CA before moving to Mesa, Arizona where Janon graduated high school with honors from Red Mountain High School. Janon was the epitome of a leader and community service member working with leadership, Diversity Club, Best Buddies, Feeding Hungry Kids of America. Janon did all of this despite spending a majority of her highschool years in the hospital and traveling to specialists around America.

After moving back to the Bay Area settling in Suisun City, CA after graduation, Janon began attending Solano Community College. Janon as of May 26, 2022 will be a graduate of Solano Community College with an Associates of Art in Liberal Studies. Her ultimate goal was to transfer and continue her studies for a Bachelors of Science in Nursing.

Janon was a baker because she loved sweets since the time she was a toddler sneaking into snacks in the middle of the night. She preferred her mom and dad’s home cooked meals over a restaurant anyday

To know Janon was to love Janon. Her sweet voice, kind gestures, simple thank yous and just the way she loved her friends and family. Janon was the brightest light to this world and will be missed by a host of family, friends and medical staff some of which became family. She was funny every single day without trying but also would tell you how she felt without hesitation. If she gave you a little crap specifically with clinical staff it meant she liked them.

Preceded in death by her brothers Jeffrey Thomas, Jr., Donivan Thomas, and Devin Thomas. She was blessed to have a huge family on both sides of the family including her 90 yr old great-grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins who loved and will miss Janon deeply. 

 Janon was very particular about the way she presented herself to people so the family has decided not to have a viewing. Thank you for understanding.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at Redwood Chapel at Oakmont Memorial Park, 2099 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette, CA  Friday May 13th 2022 at 11:00. 

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM In the Redwood Chapel.
