U Kyaw Win (Major-Retired), son of U Hla Kaw (Father) and Daw Ma Ma Lay (Mother) was born on 20th May 1951 at Sin Phyu Kyun, Magway region, Myanmar.  He is the middle son among three siblings. He graduated from B.E.H.S Sin Phyu Kyung High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Chemistry (IC) from Yangon University in 1972. Since childhood, he was intelligent and excellent in education, and he won no less than four scholarship excellence awards. After that, he graduated from the Tatmadaw (Army) cadet course number (47) and started serving as a second Lieutenant in March 1974. In the 20 years from 1974 to 1994, he fulfilled his national duty in various battalions in Pe Ngwe Gone, Kyine Tone, Thayet, Pyin Oo Lwin and Myitkyi Na and retired with the rank of major in 1994.  During his time in Tatmadaw (army) he glorified Christ through the example such as honesty, speaking out properly regardless of the position and lenient to his subordinates.  He always led from the front in every battlefield regardless of the situations.  He did not accept bribes for the sake of Christ.   

He married Daw May Myint Aung (Rosebud Po Aung) on 27 July 1980. They have two daughters; Khine Mar Kyaw Win and Su Mon Kyaw Win.  He was survived by daughter Khine Mar Kyaw Win, son-in-law Than Jimmy Tun Naing Htut and grandchildren Khine Mary May Htut, Daniel Win Htut, and Joshua Win Htut. Also, younger daughter Su Mon Kyaw Win, son-in-law Myat Htet Aung Min, and grandchildren Myat Kyi Lin and Myat Tyi Kyi.  U Kyaw Win loved his family so much and he was a good husband, father, and grandfather. 

U Kyaw Win is a person who loves and trusts God very much. Although he was born as a traditional Buddhist, He started participating in the Kanbe Baptist Church while attending university in Yangon, studied the Word for about 2 years, and tasted the living God. Since then, Psalm 23 has been U Kyaw Win's favorite verse. Psalm 23 was always recited during fierce battles; He strongly felt to get baptized because he felt that God's grace of saving his life in battles many times through his prayers with faith in God. Therefore, when he was assigned to Kyai Tong City, Naung Fa Village, in 1980, by the hand of Reverend U Ai Sai, Lahu Baptist Association. On June 3rd, he was baptized in Namsin Creek. He was at the frontline for 15 years of his 20 years' service in Tatmadaw (Army).  U Kyaw Win testified many times that during his 20 years of military service, he was on duty on the frontline and faced various dangers to his life, but he felt God's protection even when he did not receive any injuries.  

Since 1995, he served as a secretary at the Kanbe Baptist church. Through team support duties and Myanmar Baptist Federation In religious organizations such as Bago parish and as an advisor to the EBMCF congregation. U Kyaw Win did not refuse any responsibilities given to him and used them for church and religious work. He was a dutiful father who instilled faith and knowledge in his two daughters. Besides Psalm 23, U Kyaw Win's favorite verses are Joshua 1:9 and 1 Corinthians 13:13. Even though he was suffering from cancer, he read the Bible daily without grumbling until the day before he was called.  He was the one who took pleasure in God's worship through praises and praises. In the last days of U Kyaw Win's life, he is a father of great faith who comforts his family by saying that he is ready to face death and thank God for each day that God gives him life. U Kyaw Win on May 11, 2023, at 11:21 p.m. San Francisco time, he gently ascended to the eternal home of God the Father.
