Linda Sue Bowman, 80, of Martinez CA., was born in Blythe CA. She passed peacefully at her home after a prolonged illness. She was raised in Bakersfield by her parents Doyle and Barbara Sapp. There is where she met and married Jim. She was married to James Evert Bowman for 43 years who preceded her in death, July 11, 2000.
Linda was a Homemaker much of her married life and had worked at Richards in Alamo. She later opened her own shop, Branching Out, also in Alamo. She loved her family and friends, her dog “Sassy”, flowers, beautiful gardens, painting, crafting, doll making and most of all the Christmas holiday season.
She is survived by daughter Terri and son-in-law Tom Coleman of Martinez, CA; her daughter Rhonda Brink and partner Ken Brooks of Concord, CA; grandchildren Jennifer, Sara, Jamie, Caitlin and Kaylee; great grandchildren Millie, Delilah and twins Emma & Annalee as well as two “Angel Babies” great grandchildren Cora and Parker.
Graveside services will be Friday January 3, 2020 at 12:30pm at Oakmont Memorial Park, Garden of Peace, in Lafayette, CA. A celebration of Life will follow the service.
