Martha V. Oriol

Martha Verena Oriol. 67, of Concord, California passed away peacefully on February 10th, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving husband and her 4 children.

Martha was born on April 29th 1953 in El Salvador to Benjamin and Ana Granados. She moved to California at the young age of 8yrs old. She attended and graduated high school in San Francisco, CA. Martha worked in the financial banking industry for over 15 years. She made a career change to work for San Francisco Human Services Agency, for over 20yrs. Martha was cherished by her co-workers as well as her many clients over the years. Her eagerness to serve the Spanish speaking community was considered to be a great asset to the Medical Eligibility Program.

Martha adored music and could not start her day without it! Without any professional training, she was an excellent dancer feeling the rhythm in her soul. Her favorites ranged from R&B Soul Motown music to the electric sounds of Salsa. Martha loved to cook and bake to her heart's content. She would make her children their favorite meals for their birthdays. She wasn't just the life of the party, she WAS the party! Always the great hostess she loved to decorate her home for every holiday from Easter to Christmas. Martha was a believer in Jesus Christ and was a very proud woman of the Christian faith. She loved nothing more than being a grandmother to her two grandchildren, Brian Alexander Williams and Charlotte Ann Oriol. Martha was a fierce and loyal friend. She was known to take control of any situation and was a strong advocate for what was right and what was wrong. She had an amazing sense of humor and was adored and cherished by so many.

Martha is survived by her husband of 50 yrs, Efrian Oriol, her children, Genevie Sawyer, Brenda Williams, Sandra Michele Oriol and Michael Oriol and their spouses, her grandchildren, nieces & nephew’s, along with her beloved sister, Anna Bessy Cierra and brother Roberto Granados.

Arrangements are with Oakmont Memorial Park and Mortuary. Due to the pandemic only a private funeral can take place but, a Virtual Service will be held for those who cannot attend. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
