Ronald (Ron) Joseph Henrickson passed away peacefully, surrounded by members of his loving family, in his home, on Saturday February 19, 2022.  After a recent hospitalization Ron was overcome by complications of pneumonia.


Ron was born April 28, 1931 to Joshua Emanual Henrickson and Mildred Agnes Newell in New York, New York.


He graduated with honors from Metropolitan High School New York, New York.


Ron was a Korean War veteran and served his country in the United States Navy 1949-1953 as an electronics technician, second class.


Michigan State University is where Ron was educated and received a BA in Accounting.  This is where he met his devoted wife Harriette Charlotte, Shipman Henrickson.  They were married in June on the 22nd of 1956 Lansing Michigan.  In 1969 Ron received a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Certified Public Accountant from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, CA.


Ron's first career of 23 years was with the Internal Revenue Service as a Special Agent of the Criminal Investigation Division, San Francisco, CA.  After his retirement at the age of 50 he then started a successful career as a self employed Certified Public Accountant.  He worked at this profession for the next 30 years with integrity, loyalty and hard work.  Ron also taught tax return preparation classes at Mt. Diablo Adult Education 1974-1976.


Professional Affiliations of Ron's were Federal Criminal Investigators Association, Past President, San Francisco Chapter and California Society of Certified Public Accountants.


The Oakland Raiders could not have had a bigger fan than Ron.  His other favorite team was the Oakland Athletics.  At his 90th birthday the team colors flew with pride.  


Ron was a devoted family man and is survived by his caring wife Harriette of sixty-six years. Daughter Margaret Bunke (Daniel), of Huntsville AL, two granddaughters, Suzanne Sinadurray (Sanjiv) of Oakland, CA, Danielle Kerstetter (Kyle) of La Mesa, CA, two great grandchildren, James and Eliza Sinnaduray, cousin Millicent McCormack of Moraga, CA.  His son Ronald Shipman Henrickson preceded him in death.


Ronald Joseph is interned at Oakmont Memorial Park and Mortuary, Lafayette, CA.  A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held in May.
