Shirley June Williams (nee Cook), age 91, of Danville, CA passed away peacefully in the home she loved on Thursday, May 28, 2020. Shirley was born and raised in Pasadena, CA, until relocating to the East Bay and Danville, CA, where she resided for over 40 years.  A devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt; she had a great love for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Robert Williams, of 68 years, her brother George Emmett Cook Jr, and her daughters, Susan Lenore Denny (nee Williams) and Lizbeth Ann Williams. She is survived by her sister, Lola Robertson, her son, Nelson R. Williams, Jr., her grandson, Glen N. Denny, and her granddaughters, Alison D. Mathis, Bianca J. Williams, and Christine M. Quintana. Also surviving are her five great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 11am at the Oakmont Memorial Park, 2099 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette, CA 94549. Burial will follow immediately after the service.
