Life Sketch of Thomas L French

Thomas Long French was born on May 16, 1932.  He was the eighth of nine children born to victor and Mary Hard-French of Charlotte, North Carolina. Thomas accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at the Gethsemane AME Zion Church in Charlotte at age six. In 1959, he became a member of the Down Memorial Methodist Church in Oakland Ca.   Thomas had a variety of jobs in the business and educational industry.  He joined the military in 1955 as a part of the Air Force Division. His primary vocation was in Real Estate and Insurance Brokerage. Thomas’s favorite hobbies were playing tennis and watching Raiders Football. He married late in life to Lorice Stevens French who preceded him in death in 2012.

We will miss Mr. Thomas L French as he made an impact on everyone he encountered.  The impression he left on this world will never be forgotten.  A host of nieces, nephews as well as friends and colleagues will ever remember him fondly.
